Hello Beautiful People. Back in March I wrote about the impact of Coronavirus. I shared with you what we were doing at The Penseth Company and gave links to official Government advice on what you should be doing. A lot has happened since then and we are now heading into winter. This update will let you know what we are doing and give more information on what you can do.
Coronavirus Impact Update for Winter 2020
We continue to use increased cleaning, social distancing, and face masks during the production of our products. While we continue to be able to produce and ship the items on our website, our supply chain has been affected by the pandemic.
We are working hard with them to smooth the processes but there may be some items out of stock in the coming months. We are working hard to ensure this is minimal and all your favourite item are available.
Government Advice for Coronavirus
The Government has a dedicated section of their website with all the Guidance they issue.
Read the official government advice – at gov.uk
However, this Guidance and statements by the Government has become very political and is not always guided by the science.
Scientific Advice for Coronavirus
There are many scientists around the world researching the Covid-19 virus. Most of their discoveries are funnelled through the World Health Organisation.
Read their official advice at – www.who.int
While there has been a lot of attacks on the World Health Organisation the bottom line is this. Who are you going to believe? The Scientists with experience or random memes and politicians.
Mental Health Advice for Coronavirus
If you are one of the many people who has experienced a mental heath decline during the pandemic, there are resources available to help you cope.
I would recommend you check out the Mind website as a leading Mental Health Charity in the UK. However, there is also some detailed information on dealing with mental health during this crisis. Rehab4Addiction have a dedicated page to supporting people in dealing with mental health issues occurring during the pandemic.
Economic Advice for Coronavirus
With each passing day the economic toll of the virus becomes more painful. Many people are expecting redundancies in the near future. Some are already going through the process. Others are having to deal with several reduced income already. If you are one of these people there are resources available to support you. Including financial support available through the Government and Universal Credit.
To discover what support is available for you, I recommend you check out the Citizens Advice. They have a specific guide for covid related support.
These are strange and stressful times for everyone. You are not alone in dealing with unexpected consequences. Remember that and reach out to friends and family (using physical distancing of course) and share you feelings. Supporting each other, together we can get through this tough time.
Finally, remember to stay safe!
